Vanessa Williams Engaged To Jim Skrip (VIDEO)

Vanessa Williams is engaged!  









Williams, 51, announced she is set to tie the knot with Jim Skrip during a taping of "The Queen Latifah Show," which will air on Tuesday.

Queen Latifah, 44, was quoted as saying: "Vanessa, I have been trying to have a conversation with you ladies and gents, but I am blinded by the light coming from that bling ring on your finger."

"Oh sorry darling, Williams claimed, revealing: "I got engaged. I have had a lot of good things happen...I turned 50 when we were in rehearsal on Broadway, I just got engaged a couple of weeks ago. It has been a lot of blessings."





This will be Williams' third marriage, having previously been married to public relations consultant Ramon Hervey II (from 1987 to 1997), with whom she has two daughters, Melanie (born June 30, 1987) and Jillian (born June 19, 1989), and one son, Devin (born April 14, 1993) and NBA basketball player Rick Fox, with whom she has a daughter, Sasha (born on May 1, 2000).

Williams is now starring in a touring revival of "The Trip to Bountiful", which opens Friday in Los Angeles. The star costars opposite Cicely Tyson and Blair Underwood, who also joined Williams on Queen Latifah.
